Cannot disable virus scan

I would really like to disable the virus scan. Takes up a lot of time.
I have Office 2003 and Norton Internet Security in WinXP. I have tried
regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\norton internet security\norton
antivirus\officeav.dll" but it fails. Get return code of 0x80070005.

I had never looked into how to configure Norton Internet security.
Found my way around and found under Miscellaneous: Turn on scanning for
Microsoft Office documents. That did the trick. Thanks, much.
