Hi all, hope someone can help me on this one. I used to run Win 95/98 and when creating a shortcut you could go to the properties of the shortcut, select one of the tabs (can't remember which one) and tick/untick whether or not the application should respond to certain Windows keys such as ALT+ENTER, ALT+ESC etc. This is necessary as this particular application uses ALT+ENTER as a keypress to perform a very important function (poor I know). Normally, Windows would maximise the window when ALT+ENTER is pressed, but by setting up the shortcut as described above, Windows will ignore the ALT+ENTER and let the application do its stuff
I've now got a new PC running XP and when I create a shortcut, these boxes are not present and there is no way to tell Windows to ignore the keypress. Therefore it simply maximises when ALT+ENTER is pressed ;
Anyone out there know if it is possible to do this in XP. Surely if this feature existed in 95/98 it should be possible in XP. I've tried fiddling with all the 'compatibility' options/settings in the shortcut but nothing seems to work
