I do not know for certain that I have a virus, but
somehow if.searchcentrix.com made itself my default
search engine and when I tried to change it back to
google.com in the registry (using a file found at
google.com) the registry changed (supposedly) but
if.searchcentrix.com is still getting hit every time I
type in a new website to view. This causes problems since
searchcentrix does not know about many websites and
claims they do not exist when they in fact do.
PLEASE does anyone know how to manually delete this
website from my registry? I have deleted the cookies,
told my firewall that I do not want to send ANYTHING to
this domain and somehow it still keeps performing my web
searches!!! I'm very frustrated because I cannot even
remember when it took over!
Any help will be appriciated, but if you could email me
in addition to posting here I would greatly appriciate it!
Thanks,
Brian
