cannot delete history files

every time I delete my history files and go back online
all the files reappear. how do I stop this from happening?

I am having the same problem?? Ran a scan disk, defrag,
and virus scan and it all came back clean? this is a new
thing on my machine that just started yesterday...any
ideas?

yeah, this just started happening to me, it's really annoying!

Your cache index may be corrupt. Remove the current and a new one will be
created.

Delete/Empty Temporary Internet Cache completely
