I have a bunch of folders being created on a SCSI Raid
drive connected to my XP workstation. The folder names
are cryptic alphanumeric names similiar to the temp
folders windows creates during an automatic update. I
didn't know how the folders were being created and I
could not delete them (get either "Access denied"
or "folder is not empty msg). Today I ran an automatic
update and I noticed two similiar folders were created
with similiar folder names on this drive. After the
update I was able to delete these, however the others
could not be deleted. I'm logged in as Admin. The folders
are marked read-only. If I turn off read-only, I still do
not have ability to delete. Some of these folders have
subdirectories named "SP1", "sp2", "update", "common". I
cannot access these subdirectories either.
Any help would be appreciated.
