Recently, the icons disappeared from my Taskbar, and when
I attempt to use the "Quick Launch" feature to restore
them, the error "cannot create toolbar" is returned.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Make sure the Quick Launch folder exists at
"%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch"

From another page. It works

I've had success in overcoming this error by running a
repair on IE6.
This allowed me to add the user's toolbar back to the
taskbar. This
was on a W2k machine.

*****
IE6 Repair (for Windows 2000)

Click Start/Run/

rundll32.exe setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance

When the dialog pops up, choose "Repair Internet Explorer".

This worked, thank you very much.
