Cannot Create system restore Point

My system Restore function in XP will not create a restore point
automatically nor let me set a restore point. system Restore is turned on.
I've tried shutting it off, re-booting and turning it back on, but that did
not help. Suggestions?

Look in the event viewer for further details.

Are you out of harddrive space on any of the drives
monitored by SR?
