cannot copy files onto local machine

I'm trying to install 32 bit vista from within windows xp, or booting up, but
I reach the same point. At 1% of copying files I get an error message
displayed that says "Setup cannot copy windows files to the local machine.
Error code [80070241]."

How can I resolve this?

I've discovered it's almost always because of a bad download. It's a shame
actually that microsoft couldn't have just made their own working download
manager in internet explorer or something instead of relying on a 3rd party.
Search this forum under general discussion for finding the answer to this
problem - "cannot copy files" etc. Someone told me the MD5 codes to verify it
was downloaded correctly in another thread.

Same problem here. At around 18% loading of Vista, I get the 80070241 error
and all stops. I suppose I'll have to downoad it again based on your
comments. Glad to see I'm not alone in this, but pity us all. Ho, ho...
