cannot change right margin

Outlook 2002

hello, the body of my emails is now 12.5" wide. I have gone into page setup
and changed the right margin to 1.5"... but the body doesn't change. the
only way I can change the length of the text is to drag the little triangle.

any suggestions on how to set the default margins in my emails?

Are you using Word 2002 as your e-mail editor? The reason I ask is that it
might be possible where you have the page layout set to landscape. (See if
you have a File > Page Setup while composing an e-mail)
 
the page setup says portrait. It says I have Word 2002 as my editor.

it seems like this just happened recently. it was not like this before and
I don't remember doing anything to change it to this. I even checked the
default for word and it is normal.
