Cannot burn CD's from XP

Unless I use Roxio, I cannot burn a CD. If I choose copy
to CD on the XP menu, it simply brings up a white box
with Copy Here, Move Here, Create Shortcut Here or
Cancel. Can anyone help?

The inbuilt burning works by initially copying files to a holding area,
and only actually burning them (as a batch 'session' when you take the
'Burn Files to CD' on looking at the drive in My Computer. So it looks
as if a simple click is in fact bringing up what would normally be found
on a right drag. Take Copy here and see if files appear if you open the
drive in My Computer.
