cannot burn cd period????

I'm using windows media 10 and realplayer and i can't get anything to burn.
It just keep saying add cd when the cd is already in. I've tried all cd's. I
have a liteon dvdrw ldw-811s and mitsumi cd-rom fx4831t!a and i've everything
possible that i can think of can somebody help me PLEASE. I have this problem
for months. When i select the files to burn and click burn it says insert cd
into drive?
 
Just to assure - You aren't trying to copy files from one CD onto another ?

If you have been able to burn prior to this and the drive is workin
ok then you may need to edit the registry
All ways back-up the registry before editing a

Run regedit and navigate to registry ke
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Highlight it and in the right pane,
find the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters values.
Highlight each one in turn, right click and delete them
Close regedit and restart the computer

then you will have to go to sony's website and use their remover an

I've always used windows media to burn cd, not cd to cd but from me burning
cd to my library and then to a cd. I haven't for a while been able to burn
cd. When I go to a playlist and hit start burn it says insert cd when cd is
already in. This also happens when using realplayer. I dont know what could
have caused it to stop but it has. I even tried down loading Hotburn by
iomega and it couldn't recognize the drive to burn from. I have the liteon as
drive E and the Mitsunami as drive D. Drive D shows nothing under properties
to enable recording but drive E does such as what speed to use. Any solution
would be highly apprecitiated.
 
I've tried running REGEDIT and only found lowerfilters values nothing on
upper. I deleted and restarted and went to windows media and tried to burn a
cd and nothing, the same old insert cd in drive E. I will try to go to the
site you suggested and let you know something. Is there anything else you can
provide that can help me?
