I cannot add shapes into a Powepoint slide. When I select a shape and click
on the slide in edit mode, the shape outline will appear however, the shape
will not remain.

Hi Razzle

Just a thought, but are your defaults for line & fill set to the same as the
background or no line/no fill? I do this all the time when I draw lines....
To 'see' if the shape is actually on the slide but invisible slect something
on the slide (such as the title placeholder) and hit tab - this will cycle
you through all the elements on the slide. If you do get to something
invisible use the right click button on your keyboard (generally between the
alt & ctrl keys in the bottom right hand corner on external keyboards) and
select 'format autoshape. Then change fill colour.
