Cannot add attachments in Outlook

I routinely send e-mails with Word files attached. Today, after downloading a
windows critical update (XP), attempting to add an attachment of any type to
an outlook e-mail freezes up my system.

If I open the file in Word, and use the e-mail command from there, the file
will be sent, but trying to add a second attachment will not work.


I am using Outlook 2002 (10.6515.6735) SP3

Just to update my own problem...this outlook issue was just the tip of the
iceberg...I found that the latest update to Windows had caused many
problems...basically leaving me unable to use Word, Excel, or Outlook.

A system restore has solved all these issues, so it was clearly something to
do with the last windows update
