If I try to access dcom config via control panel Component Services, mmc
crashes when I click on dcom config.
Other than this the pc is fine running XP Pro SP1.
However if I try installing sp2 I have big problems and I know it's to do
with dcom and rpc. The pc runs very very slow and event log moans about rpc
problems and services failing within time period.
If I kill of the rpc service it speeds up to normal but there are of course
other problems. eg Nothing under network connections etc.
Is there anyway of resetting/rebuilding the dcom installation without a full
install?
Thanks
