Do a google search of this newsgroup for the i850. You will find many
postings praising this printer and few if any negative comments.

I have one and it's a great printer.

I did a lot of investigating and comparing before making my decision
because I wanted a printer that was fast, produced good results, and had
easy to refill ink cartridges. The i850 was the best choice. It produces
some of the best photo prints in its price range.

New models are being released over the next few weeks though. If you can
wait, you might want to see what else becomes available. I've noticed
Canon has released the i560 which should perform the same as the i850
since it uses the same printhead. It adds direct printing, but I'm not
sure about the price yet.

Check Sam's Club if you are a member: $99 while supplies last. Includes
the USB cable. I have two in the family and they are superb printers.

You actually might want to consider the CaNon i850, I expect it'll give much
better results than the CaNNon i850.

I love this printer, except that recently I've noticed it is skewing some of
the sheets, so my prints are crooked. It's not all the sheets though.
I've contacted Canon, and I'll contact the store where I bought it, and I'll
keep you updated.
