Cancelling new record?

Access 2002.

I'm in a continuous subform, in the NEW RECORD instance. Now I tab to one of
the fields. As yet, I've not typed anything. How can I cancel that add (or
since I haven't yet typed anything, there perhaps IS not ADD in-process yet?)
In any event, I want to cancel whatever might be in-process and return
control (setfocus) to a control on the parent form.

Is there a clean way to do that?

Me.Undo will undo changes to the current record or a new record.
