Can you use the WinDVD Player to play DVDs within Vista Media Cent

I have just installed WinDVD and it plays DVDs fine. My Media Center on
Vista doesn't because I believe the respective Codecs are not available for
Windows Media Player 11. Is there anyway for Media Center to use WinDVD
instead of WIndows Media Player to watch DVDs?

(It's a shame that WIndows Medial Player can't play DVDs - in this day and
age its expected that something this simple would be possible without
additional tweaking and cost).

You could always right click the dvd file in Explorer, select Open With and
tell it what default you want.

From the Windows Vista Product Guide:
A better video experience. Video playback in Windows Media Player 11
features several enhancements for enjoying DVDs. First is the inclusion of a
DVD decoder in some versions of Windows Vista, eliminating the need to
purchase an additional plug-in to play DVDs. DVD playback now also
automatically defaults to full screen and features smoother playback.

My media center only plays "green box in the middle of the screen" video
decoder.
