Can you retrieve-If you DELETE the file 'Inbox' from the Recycle bin on desktop

T

Teresa

I was trying to delete some files that involved several
pop-up banner ads & windows from interfering with my
search for telecommuting jobs. While clicking around on
the internet, somehow this SPYWARE program began to write
itself on to my hard drive, so I went into Windows
Explorer to FIND FILES or FOLDERS to find it & DELETE
whatever was associated with it! Well, in the process, I
ended up sending these files to the RECYCLE BIN on my
desktop to get rid of them. However, in the process of
DELETING them, I also deleted a file 'Inbox' that I
thought was part of the problem. I pray there is a way to
retrieve these emails I accidentally deleted!!! PLEASE
HELP ME! These were very important emails regarding
employment! Thank you.

Hi - sounds like you're using Outlook Express. If you go *very soon* to
www.undelete.com and get their software, you may be able to recover your
data.

Note also -

This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program, despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
Outlook Express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

A good website for information on OE is:
http://www.tomsterdam.com/

Wenchie - please note this disclaimer from Executive Software on the trial
version:

"If you are trying to recover a file that has already been deleted, you
must buy the full product, as this trialware does not include the
direct-from-disk recovery available in the retail version."

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the
Swen virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted w/out
reading.

Ayuh - didn't say the freebie would do it - hence, "get their software."
Shoulda been more specific!

And stop stalking me, you! ;-)
