Can you password protect a field?

I have a form where I would like to password protect a field, this needs to
be done to prevent other users from entering a Supervisors name?

Sorry about that. Maybe I misunderstood what you're looking for. Can you
be a bit more specific. Sure we can work it out.

Do you want to stop a user from inputting a certain text string?
Do you want to stop ANY user Other Than the supervior inputting thier name?
Are you trying to stop users (apart from the supervisor) seeing centain data?
Are you trying to stop users (apart from the supervisor inputting data in
certain fields?

As I said not really sure. Can you give an example with [fieldnames].
