can you open a simple workbook file in access 2003.

I need to transfer plain old MS works database information to Access but I
can't find the plain columns and rows style workbook in the options, is there
such an option in access?

Not really. MS works has the option that allows you to convert your database
to a text file and using this option who you could then import the data
directly into access.
