Can you display thumbnails of attached images ?

I would like to be able to display thumbnails of attached images, instead of
simply seeing their icons.
 
Essentially, that would mean that the attachment has been opened. The Office
Outlook has been developed with businesses in mind, and attachments cannot
be opened automatically.
