Can you disable Copy, when I hit copy it says Item not collected?

All of a sudden I can't copy and paste between Word and Powerpoint. When I
hit the copy button or Ctrl C, the message pops up near the taskbar that says
Item not Collected and my Clipboard is empty. This is so weird.

Help greatly appreciated!

Reboot your computer and run a virus scan. There's a bit of mischief
running around that causes problems with the copy-paste function.

also: Turn "Collect and Paste" OFF, close and reboot (so it cleans itself
out) then restart. That may clear the constipation...

Hope this helps
