Can XP Pro SP2 run AutoCAD and other programs w/out problems?

I was aware that the sp2 for XP pro had problems running versions of AutoCAD
and possibly other software programs. I also heard that individuals had to
restore their pc's to a previous date before the download because this was
such a problem. Are the bugs worked out of SP2 so that it is compatible to
all programs and different applications? Is this part of the security issues
with SP2, such that these programs have to be reinstalled after the upgrade.
Basically, I'm asking if I download SP2 for XP Pro will all my applications
still run? Thanks.

The best way to get an answer for that question is to go to the software
mftr.'s website and see what they have to say about the compatibility
of their software with XP SP2. Most major software mftrs. have got
announcements and patches if needed.

Craig,

I have XP Pro SP2 and it runs both AutoCAD R14 and Architectural Desktop 3.3
without any problems. AutoDesk no longer supports R14 and will dropping
support for the 2000/2000i versions on January 15, 2005.

Hope this helps.
