Can WinForms be integrated into SharePoint

I've never actually used SharePoint but someone asked about this. Does
anyone know if this is possible or does it require WebForms?

Yes, you can embed Windows Forms controls in the same way you do for other
Web sites. You need to make a Web part that merely wraps the Windows Forms
control with an <object> tag.
