No.
Different hardware architecture.
You can possibly run some virtual pc type software to install Windows XP
inside of while using OS X.

Not quite true anymore, there is a beta application from Apple called
Boot camp that will allow you to install XP on a mac as long as it's an
intel chip..although at this point, if you install Windows on a Mac an
something goes wrong, you'll be on your own for support as neither
Apple nor Microsoft will support it.

Sorry for the double post, but here is a link that I forgot to
include in my post
http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

You missed "G3" in the Original Post - I assume?
G3 means they cannot run Windows XP natively on the hardware.
It is far before the Intel switch.

I sympathize, the lack of viruses and spyware for Mac OS-X is a real bitch.
Unfortunately as others have pointed out, the G3 is a completely different
hardware architecture and you cannot run Windows on it. You'll need to invest
in an Intel-based PC to go back to enjoying the "virus of the week" syndrome.

there is only a lack of spyware and viruses because it would be a real
waste of time for spyware and virus coders to waste time trying to
infect both macs connected to the net. You only get the 'virus of the
week' on a pc if you dunno what you are doing when it comes to your
pc's security, kinda like if you leave your car unlocked, it's gonna
get stolen.
I havent had a virus in over 10 years. You just need a couple of clues
when it comes to security and you'll be fine in Windows.

No I didn't miss G3 in the OP, just wanted to make him aware that if
there was an intel chip in the box, it would be an option for future
reference perhaps. There are probably lots of people that are not aware
of bootcamp yet..although why you would run Windows on a mac is beyond
me..it's a waste of good software.
