Can we replicate data in Front End ?

R

Robert

We have an Access Database that a replica has been created.

There is different front end connected to the backend that is replicated
with each other. We would like to know would it be possible to add the
Synchronize Now function in the front end ?

Thanks

Why would you replicate front ends?

Dear Joseph,

It should be "Can I invoke data replication from front end instead of asking
user to close front end, open backend database & run "Synchronize Now".

Thanks

Now I understand. Sorry I don't have an answer, but I suspect the
answer is yes. I have zero experience in replication as I have never needed
it.

I have zero experience in replication too, therefore I would like to
know why you use replication. It's only to satisfy my curiosity as I
have some doubts about replication. it would serve to always resolve
the reinstallation of the mde files in all front ends every time the
mde back end changes?
What is the interesting of replications?

I'd suggest asking in the replication newsgroup.
