Hi,
I Just installed windows vista ultimate and only thing I need to do is
upgrade my agp video card. Im not able to shut off my pc and wondering does a
video card have any thing to do with it and if not does someone know how to
fix this problem? The only way I can turn off my pc now is by bushing the
start button like you do when you turn on your pc. I dont want to mess up my
pc so please help someone. Thanks.

Hi _Shy,

It could be the video card drivers, but it's difficult to tell without
swapping in a known compatible card and its associated driver set. Have you
set the Control Panel/Power Options to shut down when the power button is
depressed?

Hi Rick Rogers
I been on the phone with Microsoft Vista Tec help,
and they were unable to fix the problem. I even went
out and upgrade my pc and still had hang-up problems.
I end up just sending the software back to Microsoft.
I do have to say they were all so nice and done there very best
to fix the problems and even called me back on days they
said they would.
At this point I'll just buy a new pc after they get all the bugs out
of Vista and go from there.
Thanks for the help on this web site. Im sure I'll be back or sending
my friends to this site.

Hugssss and good luck to you all.
_Shy
