Hi all,
I have 5 computers.....3 windowsXP, 1 windows2000, and 1
windows98. I have networked these computers through a hub.
Each computer has different name and an unique IP address.
I log on all these machines as administrator. I can access
internet from all these machines. All these computers can
see each other, as all of them are in the same workgroup.
Now, WinXP machines can access files on Win2000 & Win98
machine, but WinXP machines cannot access each other also
Win2000 & Win98 cannot access WinXp. It gives "access
denied...contact administrator" error.
I tried following things:
1) Enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP
2) Computer browser service started
3) Ping other computers....was successful...so hardware is
fine
4) Changed IP addresses
5) Guest access is on
6) There is no firewall
7) changed DHCP node type from "hybrid" to "broadcast"
But all of these attempts are in vain.
Can anybody provide tip so that all computers can access
each other and is possible to share files & printers.
Thanks in advance,
