Can Outlook Express be repaired??

I think that my Outlook Express is corrupt and needs to be repaired. Is
there anyway to do that? I had added some email addresses to my blocked
list and they didn't show up. Then I switched Identities and switched back
and the email addresses were in the list. I kept doing this and kept seeing
them appear and disappear. Is there a way to repair Outlook Express so that
all of my settings will stay intact and all of my messages will still be
there? Or do I have to uninstall and reinstall? If so, how do I do that
and the same concerns about the repair apply to the reinstall if I have to
do that. Thanks in advance.

Close OE.

Start>Run>Regedit>find and delete this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Block Senders
(where GUID = long number corresponding to your Identity)

You will have to rebuild your Block Senders list afterwards but it should
work now.

This assumes you're losing Block Senders list for both Mail and News. If
not, expand above key and delete only the one giving your problems.

Thanks!! I did what you said and now have to wait for someone to block
again to see if it works. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I did notice though that if I expanded Block Senders, there was no Mail
under it, just News. I deleted the whole thing and closed down the
Registery editor. I reoponed OE, but have to wait for a person to block.
I'll report back if it works and even if it doesn't.
