Can only get forwarding rule to work manually

We have a small bussiness 2003 server and when up set up a rule to forward my
email to an internet address it does not work automatically. However when I
run the rule manually the email is sent. How can I solve this problem.

By default, Exchange will not forward or reply to external addresses
automatically. It's a setting the admin can change, though.

Beats me, since I'm not an Exchange admin, but the documentation that comes
with it and the people at
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.exchange.admin can tell you.
