Can not send email

I having been using windows mail for months now and today when I sent an
email I got an error message. I have tried sending to others and still get
errors. The following is the message. Someone please help.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Dinner May 13th',
Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
