Can Not Save Word Docs on Network Drive

W

Wayne

Greetings!

Two of our XP users can't save Word documents to their
network drive, though they were able to do so earlier.
(They are using MS Office Word 2003.)

I was able to add a new folder on the network drive, as
well as to save an Excel doc there.

Word's "Detect and Repair" feature wouldn't work today
since it needed a network resource that was unavailable
( " \\xxxmail\OfficeXP\1-XP folder\ "). Would anyone
have any ideas on how to allow them to save Word Docs to
the network drive? Is "Detect and Repair" worth trying
when the xxxmail server is available?

Thank you.

Is it that they do not see the drive?

Is it a rights issue? (click on Properties and Security).

They see the network drive, and they can create a folder
as well as save an Excel doc to it.

Re: "Is it a rights issue? (click on Properties and
Security)."
The users only see the General tab when viewing the drive.
They were able to save to the network drive but lost this
ability somehow.
