can not read pdf

Hi:
I have problem with reading pdf files. adobe reader
already installed but can not read pdf files. I have try
to download adobe reader again but its says'the downloaded
files is corrupted'. what shall i do? please help
 
Hi, Anna.

If you already have Adobe reader, go to Settings/Control Panel/Add-Remove
programs and uninstall it. Then visit the link ssg provides and download the
latest version.

Anna,
If you have an icon for Adobe Reader on your desktop, right click
on it and then click properties. On the properties page, click
the Compatibility tab. If the "Compatibilty Mode" check box is
checked, uncheck it and click OK to close the properties page.

I have seen at least one installation of Adobe Reader that had
thie compatibilty mode set for Win 98, and it would not work.
After unchecking this box it was fine.
