Can Not Protect form

From trying to peruse the forum here, it is apparent that you can not protect
a form if you have active x controls. What other items would stop a form
from being able to be protected?

How do I find these offending items and remove them?

You can protect a form if it contains ActiveX controls...

Which version of Word?
