Everytime I try to open an attachment (.xls, .doc, etc) I receive this error:
The system can not find the file specified. It does open up the correct
program, but the attachement does not open. I have cleaned out the temp
folder, but still not success.

Did you clean out the Outlook cache? Open Windows Explorer and enter the
following into the Address field:

%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK126

Click Go. You should then see the contents of that folder. Select
everything and delete it. Also, open IE and click Tools>Internet Optons (or
right-click the "E" on your desktop, if you display it, and choose
Properties"). Empty the Temporary Internet Files cache. Now restart
Outlook and see if it helped.

However, not everyone's OLK folder will end in "126". It's completely
random. The best way to find it, in my opinion, is to click Start>Run,
enter "%temp%" in the Open field, click OK, then expand "Temporary Internet
Files" appearing below it.

This also assumes the person hasn't moved it with the
SecureOutlookTempFolder registry key.

Tried both approaches. Can't find the OLK file.

Got it. File is empty now, but still the same message comes up when trying
to open an attachment.
