check your references.
I would bet you're missing a reference to DAO 3.6
Open any code module. go to Tools, References, and look for any
marked MISSING. Deselect them, close the window, reopen it, and
reselect them. Then recompile your code and try again.

Allen,

I have checked the reference, it is neither the problem of reference nor the
limited user of Winxp. I run it on my own laptop, not the company's computer.

In my laptop, I have 2 version of Office which are ver 2002 and 2007. there
is no problem if I run it with ver 2007. There is problem for ver 2002. Since
I want to distribute my denomination chruch secretary database whose versions
are mostly 2002, that is why I want it run in ver 2002.

Do you think I need to uninstalled my ver 2002 and reinstall it again?.

Thanks if you still can help me.

If that is not the issue, perhaps it is permissions. For example, if you are
now logging into WinXP as a limited user rather than a local computer
administrator, it could be this issue that turns up in Vista too:

Assuming this is an MDB (not an MDE), it should work okay.

If no other databases work under A2002 either, then a reinstall would be
worthwhile. But if other databases (such as Northwind) do work, then a
decompile might solve it.

Try the steps suggested here:

Use Access 2002 to do the compacting and decompiling.
