Does clicking on the triangle to the left of Local Folders help?

Click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there is no check
mark in the box before Save copy of sent messages in the 'Sent
Items' folder, click on this box and then Apply. Click on OK.

Where have you looked?

Thanks. I got thru from TOOLS to Options then used SEND to determine that all the appropriate boxes had been checked (including the one to Save Copy in Sent Items Folder). In the Local Folders (from FILE) I found a list of all the folders I can't access: Deleted Items, Sent, etc. - that only gave me the option of creating a new folder (but when I tried to create any of them, it told me the file already exists!).

Just a few days ago all these files were accessible from the Windows Mail
header, and I've no idea how or why they vanished. I'm worried I can't clear
these files out (never mind having the pleasure of re-reding them!).Like a
few others who have been posting recently, I'm beginning to hate the new
Windows format. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Is there a triangle or a + sign in a box to the left of Local Folders? If
so,
clicking on it should make some folders appear or disappear.
