Can not find Product key.

Hello everyone . I require to reregister and reactivate
but I can not find the product key on Win XP CD. The
first time it was installed by the computer shop now they
are on holidays.
Appreciate if anybody could guide me . I have checked all
readme files ,word files etc.

Hi,

It's very odd that your PC should be supplied without a product key,
especially as it had to be activated. Have you checked through all the
documentation?

Anmyway... Go here... http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml and
download (free) Jelly Bean Key Finder. It is a tool so does not need to be
installed. Just click on it and it will display your product key.

get the free Aida 32, enterprise edition from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Software -
Licenses page will tell you the one used for Windows and ones for
several other items.

Note that if the machine came with XP installed by a major maker (rather
than a local shop) , this will probably give a key used in producing an
original image, then cloned to all machines they make. So it is not the
one for a reinstall. But then the key will be on a label on the case of
the machine

Look for a tag on the case, usually on the back. If your vendor installed XP
they should have put the tag on the case.
