Can not delete message from outbox

I have a message in my outbox that I cannot send nor delete.. I have tried
MHUtil and that didn't work either. Please help me. I cannot send an e-mail.
 
I tried to download WMUtil and it would not download. Then when I did get it
to download, it would not delete the message. What else could I do to get it
done?
 
You're not explaining how you determined that "it would not delete
the message." When you clicked on the Clear Outbox button in WMUtil
did it respond in any way? Were the buttons grayed out and non-responsive?
Did WMUtil give you an error message?

It wouldn't download but you got it to download?

How odd.

Why didn't it delete the message?

What happened when (if) you tried?

Did you follow the instructions?
 
I'm going to have to change it again, since you are linking directly to the
zip file.

I need to do it anyway. I need to follow how many are downloading and such,
so I'll set it up as an aspx link. It wasn't just you, but your site has
the biggest traffic that goes directly to the zip.

The actual number of downloads is roughly 200 per day (and increasing), so
anyone who said its not a significant issue is mistaken, or has a different
definition of "significant".

Increasing site traffic is not the goal.

You must have some interesting numbers
with respect to messages stuck in outbox.
 
There are at least 200 downloads per day of WMUtil. Consistently since May
when I put in the Clear Outbox button.

Download and install this fix, with Windows Mail not running:

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works
for other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit
version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. If you
have certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those
from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, the problem
is likely to come back, although not immediately, so remember
where to find the fix.
