Can not delete files

I have a very unique problem that I have not found help on. We just
installed 7 new PC's with XP on them and we can not delete files from any of
them. When we right click on any file or folder, the computers lock up. The
problem didn't begin until after we performed WindowsXP updates. Could there
be a conflict with one of the updates we might have downloaded? Has anyone
had this problem before?
