Can not delete directory on ftp

Someone put a directory on the ftp site and name it com1.
I can not delete that directory as the server thinks it
is com1. Any suggestions?

First, make sure you've shut down the anonymous FTP server.

Second, install the POSIX tools from the resource kit and use them to rename
or delete the file.
