Can not convert .MDB to .MDE file

Access keeps not responding and freezing when trying to create .MDE
file. I am using Access 2003, I compacted file, I follow all steps.
Any ideas?
 
Have you tried compiling your VBA code to see if there are any errors? Open
any code module and from the Debug menu select Compile <your database>.
