Can not advance to next slide after playing an embedded flash swf

I have embedded a small flash swf in my powerpoint presentation. The
animation is not set up to play automatically, but instead is controlled
within the flash movie. So the slide comes up and the flash movie is visible
with a button to begin the animation. If I choose not to play the animation,
I can advance to the next slide using the standard keyboard controls (enter,
page up ). However, if I play the flash animation, I can no longer advance
to the next slide using these controls. Instead I have to double click on
the grayed out ppt control arrow located in the bottom left of the screen
(first click does not work, but second click does). Once I have advanced out
of the slide with the embedded flash, the presentation advances with no
problems. Any suggestions for being able to advance using the standard
keyboard controls after playing the embedded flash swf? Thanks
