Also we installed Norton 2006 recently afterwhich we do not receive any mails
after 12pm.

If we try sending a test message from an outside address, it comes through
to our web-mail but not into our personal folder in MS-Outlook 2003. all the
mails come through either after 4pm or the next day. no mails are lost. it
something like it gets clogged somewhere.

The users in other branch offices have no such problem. though we do not use
norton systems anywhere else.

is it something to do with norton systems.

please help me resolve this.

cheers

Disable the virus scan integration of Norton with Outlook and try again.
