Can my PC set apart one bit of a pps show?

Hello There,
Suppose a friend sends me a pps show with ten photos and a music
played during the slide show. Two questions to brainy group members.
(i) Suppose you liked only one of the photos.Is it possible to set it
apart, i.e. download into the PC on its own?
(ii) Suppose you liked only the music.Is it possible to set it apart,
i.e. download into the PC without the photos?

Do you have the full version of PowerPoint?
If so SAVE AS choose web pag *.html in the save as type box and you will get
a folder with the pictures and the sounds.

Urban, I'm no "brainy expert," but I've "disected" .PPS files before. As best
I can tell, they are really no different from .PPS files, except that they
lauch into screenshow mode, and when done, exit the viewer.

What I've always done is to launch PowerPoint first, then just open the .PPS
file from within the program. I can't remember if it still defaults to
screenshow view when initially opened, but I've always been able to switch
over to any of the edit views (Normal, Slide Sorter, etc.).

If it works, I imagine that all the elements of the show: individual slides
and background audio would be acceptable. There might we ways of saving the
file that make these elements innaccessible, but I just know that I've not
had a problem in the past.

Hello John,
Thank you for replying. When I open the pps whether as slide show or
as clicking pictures one after the other, right-clicking on it gives
two OPTIONS: (i) go to slide # 8 ,say, or (ii) end the show. I assume
this means that I do NOT have "the full version of PowerPoint
" (copied from your reply).
What can you suggest I can do? Please let me know.

Free ( temporary) trial ? Can you suggest a reliable Website in the
