Can Karen's Replicator back up to dvd-rw or dvd-ram

It can back up to any drive/folder. It can't burn a dvd by itself. So
if you're running sw/an os that makes the dvd look like a writeable
drive yes, otherwise no. (But you can download the source code so if
you can write a little VB you can modify it to shell to a burning
program)

Thanks Al
Any freeware that can do that?

Have a look at these.

Here is my info, links are like us, they die. If any of these links are
dead or are no longer freeware, at least you have the name of the
program which you put into a search engine like Google & maybe you can
let me know the latest info.
I am not recommending anything, my list gives you a starting point to
find something to suit your operating system ( most people do not even
mention it ) & skill level. What will work on my computer, may not be
happy on yours. What I can understand, re how to install & run, may not
apply to you.

One warning, while the backup program itself is very good, the
accompanying LaunchPad tray utility is incredibly invasive. There is
no way to disable it. It phones home regularly.

I had to login as administrator and use Windows Defender to disable
it. As well, it hides itself in the Task Manager so that you can't
kill it.

I'll continue to use backup (triggered from Windows Scheduler), but
the LaunchPad has left a sour taste regarding Comodo Software. I
won't be installing anything else from them.

It reallys annoys me when developers insist that I *have* to use
their tray utility. My tray is full of anough crap as it is.

So, Melih;

Now we have reports of "phoning home" from Comodo's Launchpad. What's
up with that?

As a task. I'd love to see how a process can hide itself.

That has already been mentioned. It checks to get the latest
information from the Comodo site.

there is more going on, but be happy with Melih answers.
I quit, Toodeloo leaves the Comodo discussions.
Melih wrotes a lot but isn't able to synchronize things.
Melih promisses a lot but he should know that his staff would never agree
with it.
Just like microsoft; vapourware and things will be solved in the next
release.
Always the answer, yes it's free, but when someone looks at the site the
story is different.
NO software information updates about the period to use that product on the
sites; still 365 days free.

In a company with enough resources to undertake a project like this,
things take time. Give em a chance. (Then judge without mercy.:)

Good point. Turning a tanker takes a bit of...patience. Still, it's a
bummer to get conflicting info like that.

Yes. Will have to wait and see whether Comodo sorts itself out or not,
who knows. Cant help wondering if a game has been played here.

ZA. Anyone else? Will post back here...

The lack of response regard updating the website is a little worrying.
I will play a wait and see game at this point.

No need to wonder any longer. The page at ...

Yup. Actual verbage is:
The license is a free, perpetual license that simply requires annual registration.

I've d/l'd and registered. They've emailed me the activation key. As
soon as I get around to uninstalling ZoneAlarm, I'll mount up and report
back here.

Btw, I've found some instructions for uninstalling ZA (v5.5.094.00) but
if anyone has anything they consider definitive or nearly so, please post.
