Can I use Y or N in a if formula?

I want to figure commission on sales, some sales I have to pay a flat fee of
$135.
exp: sale = 130,000
Commission = 3%
Total Commission = 3,900
My Commission Split = 85%
My Commission = 3,315
Sale fee Y or N If "Y" deduct $135 from my commission, if N pay 3,315

I tried if(h5="Y")(H5)*85%-135

=H5*0.85-IF(H5="Y",135,0)
