Can I use drop down boxes for a prompt in a query?

I have a query where I want people to be able to select the criteria from a
list (there are some criteria that have difficult spelling and if entered
wrong people get no results). Right now the query runs with a prompt where
you type in the parameter, can I change this to a drop down box? (I'm using
access 97)

Thanks Diane, I followed the instructions but it doesn't work. When I look at
the form by itself it looks right, but when I run the query I still get the
prompt box although it says "enter[Forms]![Choose Region]![cboRegion] " now.
How come the form isn't showing up?

A query won't open a form. You generally open the form, enter values, and
then run the query or report.

Use a combo box on a form. Parameter prompts are not very good user
interface. There is some information on how to do this at
http://www.fontstuff.com/access/acctut08.htm.

I used the link to create the form but the combo box is blank. Can you tell
me what I missed. Thanks.
