Can I tell who has a record locked?

Hi
On a site, the Client is getting a lot of errors that state:
"3218: Could not update; currently locked"
Now I need to write code that will check if someone has a record locked
before doing an update. I've seen code that will tell me if a record is
locked, using error handling and opening a pessimistic recordset.
Is there a way of telling who has actually locked the record?

Thanks, but that only tells me who is in the database.
