Can I stop sending read receipts?

Outlook 2002 - In email tracking options I have selected to respond to
requests for email receipts by checking "never send a response". I don't
know what "Only applies to Intenet Mail accounts" means.
Note: #1 -There is a company (among many others that offer the same service)
msgtag.com that has a download that will force a read receipt to be sent by
me regardless of my tracking options.
#2 - Also in tracking options the box "Process requests and responses on
arrival" is checked.
I want to stop or at least be prompted to send ANY read receipt. Can this
be done?
Thank You!

Outlook supports several account types. Some are "Internet Mail" accounts,
like POP3/SMTP, and some are not, like Exchange. Receipt control works
only for the Internet mail types of accounts.

I think it can be blocked.

Depends on the account type. FOr a POP account, use the Tracking Options
dialogue to select options at the bottom (Always send..., Never send..., or
Ask me...). If those are grayed out, it's not an Internet account and you
can't control it.
